The Bubble Vases are blown glass and made with wood found during hikes and explorations on California back roads and waterways. The glass is blown directly over the wood and literally forms into the wood and takes on dips and dents that ultimately make a positive and negative connection point. The glass is held on the wood this way in the finished piece. The process is spontaneous and captures a relationship between the wood and the glass. These are made in small production runs and each piece is unique.

While I call them Nests, these pieces are often described as "oceany" or "like coral", this red one definitely looks like coral. The red is a true red. It is bright and eye catching and will add a bold touch of color where ever it is placed. The open lattice work makes these pieces appear to be light as a feather. And, while they are delicate the overall form is sturdy, like actual nests. The process used to make these ensures that no two are ever alike. Each piece is unique with its own twists and bends.
