Made with wood found hikes and explorations on California back roads and waterways. The wood is sanded and a copper rivet is added to each piece of wood. The glass is blown directly over the wood(and the copper rivet) literally melting onto the wood and taking on the shape of the wood becoming a negative to the positive textures of the wood. Ultimately fitting together securely on the wood in the finished piece. A spontaneous process that captures a relationship between the wood and the glass. These are made in special production runs with each piece coming out a little differently than the last- capturing a moment in time where the glass meets the wood.

Inspired by ink on paper. In indigo and white or black and white the bowls are sandblasted to a matte finish with bits of shiny gold luster for a little luxe. A painterly process is used and each piece is different in design but retains the same feeling. These large low bowls measure 15 inches wide and 3 inches tall. Signed on bottom.

While I call them Nests, these pieces are often described as "oceany" or "like coral", this red one definitely looks like coral. The red is a true red. It is bright and eye catching and will add a bold touch of color where ever it is placed. The open lattice work makes these pieces appear to be light as a feather. And, while they are delicate the overall form is sturdy, like actual nests. The process used to make these ensures that no two are ever alike. Each piece is unique with its own twists and bends.
